Funny pic covering TNR's story on John Edwards:

Note the banner up top, reading "His time is now." Usually such descriptions are given to people who've had lots of time to try the job, and are now truly worthy of it. See the NYState gubernatorial chant in '02, "It's time, it's time, it's time for Carl McCall."
This could be meant to combat the idea that Edwards could run at some time in the future; either way, it's an odd choice.
