Segway = Big Fat Rip-Off. The human transporter can now be pre-ordered at Amazon, where it's retailing for a whopping $4,950, a 67% increase over the most recently-reported price of $3,000, according to Crain's Plastics News. Plus, I recall, but can't confirm, reports that it was supposed to be in the sub-2G range. You can get a pretty good used car for five grand...
