Josh Chafetz tries to make an argument for the chicken in the Israel/Palestine debate by positing that protesters at Yale challenging Israeli checkpoints are stupid because they would demand checkpoints if they faced similar danger. But he ignores the fact that the protesters are making the egg argument and that they consider occupation to be what brought about violent retaliation.
Here's an interesting question not worth answering: if the mock-occupation made by protesters became a real one, would you see a violent outbreak on the part of the persecuted?
