Daschle's Attack. Here's a pretty-full version of the exchange.
Initial thoughts:
1) He makes reference to personal threats, which we obviously don't know much about; this is a guy who got anthrax mailed to him. A tough response by him is acceptable, especially given that only he knows the nature of the threats currently made against him.
2) What about that guy in Minnesota who wished Wellston dead two weeks before he died? The only reason that became a big deal is because Wellstone actually died -- indicating that such statements don't usually raise a ruckus, from which it's safe to infer that such statements are not entirely uncommon.(Link to relevant story to come).
