George Pataki has his own force field...or, at least that's Tomasky's theory, the latest addition to the "why Pataki doesn't get creamed in the press" pile. He cites McKinley, calling it "a very tough piece". Well, I certainly didn't think so. Tomasky blames it on McCall's lack of a Ferrer-esque campaign; he's correct, but not in the way that he thinks...more on that later. Meantime, Tomasky fails to rip into the press, especially McKinley, even though they're the ones rolling over for Pataki (he mentions networks not getting tough on debates, but we know that there's more missing in the coverage than that).
